Looks like a titanium PL mount too.

And I love the detail of the RED screws to fix the side panel to the body.

Thanks also for putting the dimensions of the screw holes on the body. If that is the final spot for them then we can start building some pretty cool shit for this compact body.

Congratulations to Mark and OFFHOLLYWOOD. I can only imagine how much fun this will make the Alps

Congratulations to RED, I'm sure it's been a very long road.

And for the record, I love the markings on the bottom and the arrangement of the 1/4 and 3/8 mounts. I'd love to see exactly the same thing on Scarlet.

Mark, your guts and passion inspires me. (Well, I guess Jim also inspires me. )

I met you once at a conference in Gotham sound when I was about to get my Red long time ago. You were very helpful answering my questions, and because of you I bought the "suicide cable" which is my favorite cable in my kit!

Anyway congratulations! So some pictures whenever you can.

The FUTURE of FILMMAKING is EPIC and Beyond.

The FOREVER of FILM ARCHIVING is FILM. (hence: film will never die)

RED teaches the above at REDUCATION actually and it makes sense.

Because in 100 years if the film is stored properly, you can hold it up to light and see an image. No device is required. There is no guarantee that LTO players and other long term (cloud) storage will last forever. And you will always need a device (power) to view it. Until someone invents crystal storage powered by the sun and viewed through its refracted prism (and somehow etched to blend those colors into an image against a surface) , film will be archiving EPIC footage. Now that is effin cool. No wonder Jim can't sleep

Okay - the Eagle just landed.

I'l try to throw up a pic or two and tweet today - but please don't expect a post until after midnight.

I hope you can understand that today I'd rather not sit in front of a computer.
