This is great news and I love that you guys are being strategic, in selling Epic-M's to those who understand how Red works, and who have the ability to showcase the cameras properly :)

30 Epics!? That is one hell of a production they're preparing in New Zealand.

Can't wait for that movie and I specially can't wait for the Blu-Ray, I'm sure the BTS stuff will be amazing.

Jackson should do what he did with KingKong and do a blog with weekly BTS videos.

Awesome Jim thanks for the update. I'm going to have to venture down to keslow this week and take a look. I'm curious to know about quantities. I remember you saying very limited but I was wondering I could take a stab at a number. Less than 100? Less than 50? 10? We have a consigner at our rental facility with camera 89, was curious to know of the production run of the M might get that high.

Trying to find an Equilibrium between these two opposite forces as I visualize different stories, becomes — every day — the reason for my creative effort.

We'll continue to make EPIC-Ms until EPIC-X production begins... maybe even after. The love for the machined body with rental companies and others really surprised us.

Yeah. Machined is the way to go for me. There's something about CNC machined parts. It's like a fine watch, that does 5k 120 fps.

I have absolutely no problem with an Epic-M...but I know there's quite a few Stage 2-ers ahead of me.

Is this true? Are there additional qualifiers, or are there just people in line who have opted out?
...too much RED on the brain.

I think this a bit of an assumption. Only the big early adopting players have been served. Perhaps we should wait till more cameras get shipped. Either way it's really up to Jim and co to decide. I'll wait happily for mine as I'm sure many will
