    Thank you Vito...

I was just really fortunate to adopt Red very early, so because of that, I've always felt a responsibility to give back to others interested in Red cameras. In the process I've made some great friends, associates, and alliances too. Its all been way good...

Damn Gibby, you're even scaring me...and I don't have any reason to be. ;)

The back-story behind that is that when I first started into the motion media business I made up my mind to figure out a way to make a living doing the things I love to do in my time off work. So that's why I concentrated into the mobile style and genres I work in. If someone's heart is in their work, their attitude is much better - and they do better work.

Over the years I've been unbelievably fortunate to make a living documenting what is essentially my own chosen lifestyle - sports, wildlife, travel, nature, cultures, etc. If I had it to do over again I'd do it the exact same way.

When I get asked by beginners in this business "What should I work into?", I have a question for them, which is "What do you love to do in your time off work?". When they describe what they do in their time off work, I just tell them "Now figure out how to earn your living in this industry in productions that profile your off-work lifestyle - then you'll love every day, your heart will be into your work, you'll do great work, and if you do what you do well enough for long enough the financial rewards will also come".

I'm singing to the choir now Ketch, because I know you work in the genres you love, and earn your living exactly as I described above.

Professional life is full of choices and forks in the road - wisdom dictates that someone should choose where their real passion is, and then go for it!
    AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME!

With an EPIC and a RED One at your side, sounds like all you need is a FIXED Scarlet. It's 'bout time for RED to release the waters! The dam is about to break...

    Hi Jim,

Will RED ever have refurbished RED ONE's on sale. I'm don't have a massive bank account, but I really need(want) the 4k.

If refurbished R1's were sold for 7-8k after the epics begin getting around I think it would be a perfect solution for the people who were really counting on the S35 scarlet... I know thats what im hoping will happen :)

I know right? :/ pipe dreams my friend... im not looking for an mx'd cam for 8k but I see no reason an original R1 that orriginally went for 14k couldnt go in the 9-10k range once the new cams are out...
