2011 sounds so good, mind the perfect run and gun Scarlet fixed or Epic Light will not be around for my months shooting in the Caribbean :( come January/February 2011, but hoping for the European shoots come May June July :) lets hope, if not my trusted EX1R will still produce some wonderful shots for another 6 to 9 months.

Just waiting patiently as always, it will arrive when it arrives.

For me the R1 is too big and heavy and with having to travel light and shoot from the hip so to speak, a lot of different locations in a day, very quick set up required, it was never really an option for me.

Yes. To me the "Lite" name doesn't seem in keeping with a professional product line (just my opinion)

Probably gonna have to wait till cameras are closer to release.
...price info. and tech. details can tell other companies what
targets they need to hit. And since so many cameras seem to be
coming out next year..it's a sensitive time for tossing out info.
But we have been told to expect Scarlet news...

Even though the Scarlet S35 has just changed to EPIC Light... we have some big news coming regarding the Scarlet program. I am a big Scarlet fan and am excited at what we are brewing for the Scarlet program.

Everything moves fast around here... stay tuned. Jim

Hi everyone, this is my first post, and just want to share my few thoughts on the RED Camera development. After reading a lot of posts and checking out the new cameras, I'm too very excited. Is it true that we might be able to buy Epic-S, or Scarlet interchangeable in 2011? Because right now I own Sony EX1, and I'm looking for better DOF in my new camera. Does anyone know how will the new HDRx™ sensor behave in low light?

    Patrik,

    Welcome!

As for HDRx, it's not a new sensor but rather a new way of reading the sensor that adds more lattitude to the highlights. So, HDRx won't really help w/ low light, but it will help very much so if you have a scene with a combination of low light and very bright light.
