I never understood the Scarlet naming regime anyway. It seemed too confusing. And I agree that 48 - 60fps should be included on Epic Light, of course.
Same camera, different name, just to justify a price increase. Hmm...
The names are now based on the size of the sensor. Everything that is S35 or more is called Epic. Epic light means, that it has a little bit less horsepower and thus costs less.
Scarlet is the 2/3 sensor.
Keep it coming RED - played with some RAW files a while back and never want to go back.........
I don't want to get overly hung up on names or nomenclature but as others have commented, I'd suggest re-thinking the name, "light" as it could be construed by some as being Epic "inferior" or some such. I think what you are meaning to impart is that it's light on features/performance when compared ONLY to the traditional (and more expensive) Epic brain. The LT designation, as suggested by one poster, is going in a better direction, in my opinion.
But - designating the S35 part of the Epic family (rather than Scarlet) makes perfect sense to me.
