so epic light is moving up to the stage 2 and 3 options?
good idea to move it up to tbe epic !
Great news :) looking forward to the scarlet update. Never thought l might own an Epic but an Epic Light and the fixed scarlet is right up my street.
Sanjin as you have great insight, give me 6 numbers between 1 and 49 for the lottery this weekend here in the UK :) hehehe will split winnings lol
Thanks to Jim and Team RED, let the Dream Come True.
A BIG BIG REQUEST:- Please Please once the Epic Light and Scarlet cameras are up and running, please post some footage as complete downloadable files for all us none RED people, who will be RED people to play around with, so we can get used to grading, work flow etc so once the camera is in our hands we can hit the ground running, this would be such a huge help.
Thanks in advance.
It's not difficult to see where this is coming from. The S35 Scarlet was always a camera that did the most of the things that Epic did that most people (with lower end budgets) cared about.
I hope there isn't a too big price increase, because the S35 Scarlet at this point was already reaching slightly above my financial limits. Pushing it further would definately make it out of my price range and more into RED One territory (a camera which I always defended, liked, but never could buy because it was out of my financial league)
I'm sure it will always be a good deal, but I just hope I still will be able to buy one, because I've been looking out for an S35 for a big while (making a lot of people warm for it, even past weekend).
It does sound like a price increase is coming. The good news seems to be that maybe, if it's now part of the Epic line, it will also be available sooner than in the original Scarlet-timeline.
I don't mind the Epic Light name, btw.
It's a smart move... but like others, I think Epic Light seems a bad name.
I think the guy who said Epic LT is on the right track.
At this point, a lot of us are only interested in the 2/3" over at Scarletuser.
