What about interchangeable Scarlet 2/3"? I think that EPIC Lite is just for the S35 and up, nothing to do with fixed/interchangeable.

Yeah, could be. Either fixed/interchangeable, or sensor size. Scarlet = 2/2", everything above that EPIC Lite?

Great news :) looking forward to the scarlet update. Never thought l might own an Epic but an Epic Light and the fixed scarlet is right up my street.

A BIG BIG REQUEST:- Please Please once the Epic Light and Scarlet cameras are up and running, please post some footage as complete downloadable files for all us none RED people, who will be RED people to play around with, so we can get used to grading, work flow etc so once the camera is in our hands we can hit the ground running, this would be such a huge help.

It's not difficult to see where this is coming from. The S35 Scarlet was always a camera that did the most of the things that Epic did that most people (with lower end budgets) cared about.

I hope there isn't a too big price increase, because the S35 Scarlet at this point was already reaching slightly above my financial limits. Pushing it further would definately make it out of my price range and more into RED One territory (a camera which I always defended, liked, but never could buy because it was out of my financial league)
I'm sure it will always be a good deal, but I just hope I still will be able to buy one, because I've been looking out for an S35 for a big while (making a lot of people warm for it, even past weekend).
It does sound like a price increase is coming. The good news seems to be that maybe, if it's now part of the Epic line, it will also be available sooner than in the original Scarlet-timeline.

I don't mind the Epic Light name, btw.

To be fair, the S35 Scarlet would have damaged EPIC sales, because a lot of people wouldn't see the difference between EPIC and Scarlet worth the price difference, so I think we at Scarletuser we're all expecting this to be honest.

At this point, a lot of us are only interested in the 2/3" over at Scarletuser.
