Need to figure out how to make 58k fast. Any thoughts?

After talking to the team and to make this easy, we will put together an EPIC-M package that includes:

Machined and hand assembled EPIC-M Brain with titanium PL mount
Bomb EVF
5" Touchscreen LCD (machined)
Side Handle (machined)
Side SSD Module (machined)
REDmote (machined)
4- 128GB SSD cards
4- batteries and charger

Total price is $58,000.

There would be an extra charge for a Canon mount.

This camera would have 95% features enabled. If you have to ask what those are, you are not a candidate to buy this camera package. It has everything you would need to shoot a feature motion picture. It will need firmware upgrades along the way... like the RED ONE.

These will be offered in LIMITED quantities!

Now... that should limit the interest a bit.

Im in a bit of a bind.. was hoping the cameras would be ready well before the new dates and realllllyyyy needed to purchase the camera before the 1st of the year, or else my taxes on the money that will be used will basically make it impossible for me to purchase the camera.

Would I be able to officially "BUY" the camera before December? and in return receive a receipt and take delivery of a piece of paper that says epic x?

It will be exciting to see a few of these in the field, but I am glad the quantities will be limited (less than 100 I assume) and that they will not affect the Stage 2 production schedule.

Since I'm still waiting on a BOMB EVF from 6 months ago, I will breathe easier when the production Epics starting rolling off an assembly line in mass...

Jim, did you really think you were NOT going to get this response? Good idea on the package EPIC-M (names not going anywhere)...I hope that my production EPIC-x will stand up against this machined beast. I know we all have experienced the quality variations from different manufactures over the years, so I am can only asume you have selected the best of the best.

Maybe you should make the machined EPIC-Ms out of something sexier, like titanium.

You might want to consult with your CPA, you can't depreciate or write off equipment until it's "put into service". Furthermore, a company can't issue a "receipt" for goods that have not been delivered, even if they are paid for.
