Well.. I wish things were going faster... but whatever. The quantity of solid information in this thread at least shows things are progressing really well, and that we're on the home stretch.

Happy thanks giving Jim, to you and your wife...Jarred and RED team. Excited to hear you guys are capable of building machined Epics in house, F&*(ing awesome. Have a nice holiday.
I am going to go build myself a EPIC-L, it has least 18,000 lego parts involved! :)
Thank Mr. Crosby for me Jarred,
Here I was heading to the garage to get out my machine tools to make a housing out of my mother in-law's meatloaf.
It's impervious to most anything, but I'd have to trade my 2060 in for a 2575.
Lego's are a far better answer, and my dog doesn't growl when he smells Legos...
Just sayin...
And yes, I cooked the Thanksgiving dinner, (Geneva convention and all that) Happy Thanksgiving to everybody, and particularly to the RED team for all the good news.
Steve
I'm definitely in, but will be surprised if I make the "limited" list. But bring it on!![]()
Looking forward to what you guys figure out...
After talking to the team and to make this easy, we will put together an EPIC-M package that includes:
Machined and hand assembled EPIC-M Brain with titanium PL mount
Bomb EVF
5" Touchscreen LCD (machined)
Side Handle (machined)
Side SSD Module (machined)
REDmote (machined)
4- 128GB SSD cards
4- batteries and charger
Total price is $58,000.
There would be an extra charge for a Canon mount.
Forget all the previous discussion... this is the package.
This camera would have 95% features enabled. If you have to ask what those are, you are not a candidate to buy this camera package. It has everything you would need to shoot a feature motion picture. It will need firmware upgrades along the way... like the RED ONE.
These will be offered in LIMITED quantities!
Now... that should limit the interest a bit.
Jim
LOL @ EPIC-Lego
That's just cool.
Jim / Jarred
First, Happy Thanksgiving. We all give thanks that your on here today.
Second, great news about this option for those that want and can afford this.
Lastly, I know Jim estimates that full production ramp will happen by April (NAB), so for us Stage 4ers, are we estimating that it will be about May/June before the stages 3 is complete?
Thanks for everything you've done and continue to do.
Steve
Count me in! :)
