Really? Is this a fine-increment, quasi-analog wheel, a bit like a Bartek remote? Or does it have hard clicks?

So it should be clarified when new literature is put out that SSD is a mandatory add-on for $1500.

How goes the progress on making SSD media?
Shawn... it is clear from that post that Jarred said the Side SSD is the default side module. It is not part of the brain.

The EPIC-M will be sold as a brain and then accessories. EPIC-M is not the budget model... :-)

Sorry if this has been asked already but is it at all possible that by the time the production units are shipping that the other modules (especially the pro ones) will be ready ie. I/O, rear ssd, rear battery, wireless vieo assist?

Side Recording modules, since day 1 of RED, have always been separate.

Brain is the Brain, Modules are Modules. We never had put out any literature suggesting otherwise.. in fact, in all our announcements, in both posted and PDF form., pricing for side modules were clearly pointed out, separately.

We just took $1000 off the Side SSD module price.. I thought you of all people were going to be happy :)

Look forward to here and read more about the details, but I guess I jumped on board too fast do to the over excitement ;)

Might still need to leave some funds for the new Studios in Italy ;)

Nonetheless I'm stil very much interested to see if I can get an Epic-M (or what ever you will ended up calling them).
