Thanks
RC2 & RG2 provide a much more natural look and looks much closer to film... Just tug down the blacks a bit with the Curve tool or Lift tool and voila!
My old footage never looked so good without effort. And, yes... this is all getting ready for EPIC footage.

As a colorist i always blamed RED to be not good enough with color reproduction ...
so this update is very welcome and is a good sign that at RED are still working on debayer and color
can't wait to test this (hope is going to be implemented in scratch super soon )
g
and because i really can't wait ...
any way Jim to post a closeup shot of redcolor/redgamma vs redcolor 2/redgamma 2?
thanks

I dont think any other compnay can match RED speed in releasing builds.
Epic win.
yes! this one looks good. skin tones is the name of the game.
im praying it's closer to the skin tone reproduction of the 5D c-mos sensors.
hope i don't get in trouble for saying that. but i feel it's true.
to be honest im praying it's closer to the skin tone reproduction of Alexa and F35...
this is to underline that color reproduction out of the box is very very important..RED is ahead in anything else ...so i am hoping is catching up in "color out of the box" color as well
PS nobody still at the office in LA that can post a screenshot comparison ?
It late in NY and i left the office ...
