Please send logs to redcinex at red dot com. The results of running "ulimit -aH" at the command line might also be useful.

The REDline help wasn't updated to show these options, but they are available.

REDgamma2 = 28
REDcolor2 = 18

Yes, it's designed to be very neutral, but look reasonable as a basic graded look, compared to REDLogFilm which is also neutral, but very flat.

Every time I try to open a clip, the program immediately locks up / crashes. This is not exclusive to this build, or even recent builds.

I had assumed my computer simply didn't have sufficient horsepower, but I recently got CS5 and discovered I could edit R3Ds just fine there (not FAST, but fine).

What steps should I take to diagnose this?

Hey Lee, are you on a Mac or a PC?

I'm on a Mac... (or CustoMac depending)

The first thing I do every time I install a new version of RCX is backup my old application support/Red folder with a zip file - then erase the existing version and start the new app... this generates a new support folder.

Sometimes different versions have incompatibility across support packages...
