Would love to get some consensus from users on a few color settings that pop up both in Red Cine and in MC5's "set source settings" dialog for dealing with RED files.

Let's assume I'm going to work and finish in DNX HD 115 after transcoding the RED files either via Red Cine or directly in MC5 after linking via AMA.

Color Space: Should I leave this in RED Color? Switch to REC 709, since I'm moving the material into the HD world?

Gamma Curve: There are three "RED" settings here and then REC 709.

Really wanting to make sure I don't tie my hands with any of these for work later on. I know i can always conform the original RED files for a true color correct on the appropriate system, but in the HD world I want to make sure I leave my options as open as possible.

    Thanks,

    Aaron.

For Finishing I would suggest redcolor/redlog... till the new gamma curves will come...
If you do the grading outside of MC5, I would choose redcolor/pdlog685 with a log/lin LUT.
