Yosemite at 4AM. This was a frame near the end of a long pan across the entire valley, shot with the EF 16-35II.

Bristlecone in the moonlight. I froze my ass off to get this shot, part of a 650-frame dolly timelapse sequence. Temps got down to 19 degrees F, in August!

Beautiful Tom, some other stills you've posted have been, albeit wonderful, a little soft, but this is sharp enough that you can enjoy the texture on the tree...

Nothing a couple of six packs can't remedy I hope?

haha, even if I had beer with me, the can would have frozen solid before I could even crack it.

i tried pulling out my cot and sleeping bag, but soon fled into my car and cranked the heater all night.

Sacrilege I know these were shot on film, I use a D200 from time to time but am still rolling film through my SLR.

I love this thread! So many talented artists across all sorts of photographic streams.

Here's a few from me using my new (second hand) Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8L IS USM lens I bought recently and got calibrated by Canon to be spot on. Looks like they succeeded!!

    Enjoy!

    And a few more:

All there were taken with the 70-200mm lens. I added some extension tubes to get the macro shots. I LOVE how sharp this lens is!! And the bokeh is just gorgeous....

    Cheers from Japan!
