    These were my very first RAW images, with the venerable D100 and a 28-200 zoom, handheld with available light and some fill with the camera's own pop up flash. Graded one step through a LUT I of mine call "Ektar" to mimic the saturation of 25 ASA negative, so yes, they are purposely overblown...

    I'm sure I can... I just need to get my hands on one. For now, my current system will have to do. I just got back from shooting in the mountains, gorgeous time of the year to shoot.

    Some insane lighting going on in OC today. I snapped this from my balcony at around 11AM. All the smoke is coming up from SD, I think. Sort of a smoke-induced "permanent magic hour" all day today.

    I'm like 20 miles from the OC fires, and probably at least 30 - 50 miles from the ones in northern San Diego! I think most of that smoke in the sky has come all the way up from San Diego, which is quite far from here.

    I've lived here all my life and have never seen anything remotely like this.
