Im sorry but i don't understand. The physical size of my sensor is 2.5inches square. How is this less than 4 megapixel?

This is 4 times larger than any "video" sensor on the market

Resolution isn't the same as physical size. When you start binning pixels together than you're reducing the resolution by 4 in both directions. The result is a 60 megapixel image is reduces 16x to 3.75 megapixels.

Might be because they have to answer to stock holders etc... And telling those: "look we just scraped what we had in the pipeline for the next 10 years and will not release any product until we have developed THE perfect camera in 4 years time for a price that is a fraction of the price of our premium cinema line!" might have been difficult.

It's good to be your own man, Jim! Enjoy it! We certainly do! :)

Okay, you just crossed the line. You better have a cool name for your "Skunk Works" division.

I know the info is highly classified, compartmentalized, need-to-know, non-official-cover, encrypted, covert, eyes-only and awesome and I want to hear more.

Just give me an eeency weency taste via PM or email. Hire some goons to beat me in morse code, so that I both learn about it and get the message that I better keep it to myself at the same time.

Seriously, Jim, that's quite a load to drop on a guy like me. You guys are killing me. LOL!

You must have a prototype P45+ coz our P65+ only has a 54x40mm sensor.... and the retail P45+ is only 37x39mm

Great to hear you throw the pentax in there. Thought I might have to make my own mount.

I traded a guy one of my consumer u/w housings for a 645n and a pentax AF 400mm plus 30mm (Russian) fisheye, then ebayed for man focus SMC 35mm (~$600) and 55, 75, 120macro and 200 for another $600 or so - with the idea of underwater and wildlife epic 645 at 9k.

It all seems to be excellent glass both optically and mechanically.
