The price point slots are getting filled up quickly:
    $1-3k dslrs rule
    $5k af100
    $16k Sony F3
I think there may be two more open:
    $8k and $12k:
Canon can you hear me?, JVC, Fuji, anybody?
    getting crowded and quickly

    now, they got my attention

I wonder if Sony is going to start offering PL lenses.

The model w/ lenses costs $23K.

    $16K is for body only.

LOL, Forget the $16k door stop, I was interested in the set of three high quality T2.0 glass for $7k

I know you love that high quality PL glass, but a lot of people will be interested in this:

" For documentarians, a new Sony-developed zoom lens will use the camera's proprietary native lens mount. (The camera ships with a PL-mount adapter.) "

A traditional ENG/EFP style servo zoom is probably the biggest thing current video cameras have over a RED cinema camera, that a lot of users prefer. (and a big reason for interest in the scarlet fixed)

I agee. As more S35 cameras are becoming available I think there is a market for ENG-style PL Zooms with servo motors and image stabilization, etc... This market was generally well served by Canon, Fujinon and Angenieux. But, "Sony proprietary native lens mount", WTF?
