    speaking of iPad/Pod dailies...

When you view a quicktime or h264 movie in Quicktime Player, the gamma is off. Clip is brighter. We've all seen this. So I'm assuming it looks the same in the iPad. Doesn't this throw off the DP and Director? Does anyone have a method to prevent this gamma shift?

    Thanks,
    Picot

If you think it is consistent, why don|t you just make a preset that takes care of the conversion?

    Hi,

It's been a long while since I ever had to transcode any 2K 2:1 footy for some reason, but today I have twenty-some R3D's that were shot in that format.
My RR/RCX combo has been transcoding all other formats super fast as expected, but the 2K 2:1 shot footage. I've tried from RCX build 262 to 348, but they all exhibit about the same performance. It takes about fifty minutes to transcode a three minute R3D. There's got to be something wrong.

By the way, I'm transcoding to Prores HQ 1920x1080.

Thanks for any help you can give.

    Feature Request:

It would be really helpful if the 'UP & DOWN' arrows were able to make fine adjustments like in earlier versions of Red-CineX. Now, the up and down arrows are used for clip selection.

The arrow keys were especially helpful for small changes in FLUT, Curves and Shawdow. Using the sliders is very crappy because they move the values really quick and it's hard to increment by only 1 digit at a time.

    Thanks

The sliders now are not as good as the up down arrows were. You have to use the sliders or key in the minus or plus numbers you want now.

Not as user friendly, used the up down arrows all the time for fine adjustments.

    My 2 cents,

I got a report from my client yesterday that the combination is not working. I'm going to check mine later today but is there anyone had the same experience?

EDIT:Deanan informed me that MC Color only works with 32-bit version because Euphonix only provide 32-bit driver.

I found the mouse scrolling wheel handy - just click on the value right to the slider and finetune it with the mouse wheel.

The adjustments are kinda brute, though. Maybe one could gear it down...
