  1. #1 Proxies look very yellow in fcp
Hello, I need some help please. I have encountered a strange problem. When we import our proxies ınto FCP all of the footage is tinted yellow, but only on a certaın computer. When we import the same footage into the same version(7.03) of FCP, but on a different computer the footage looks like it did on our monitors on set. Everything looks normal on RedCine X on both computers. It is only the proxies that have a problem. To make things even stranger when we go to Apple Color the footage still looks yellow, but the look values appear to reflect the changes we made. Any ideas? Im stumped.

This only happened after MX upgrade.

This has been up many many times, you most likely have an old version of the required FCP plugin, update to the latest.

That was exactly what I said, but my DIT reassured me it was up to date. After reading this, he checked it again and sure enough he was wrong. Thanks for clearing that up Eirik, even if it was a bit snarky :)

Hi Clint, Sorry about the snarky bit!

I should have cut down out the "many many times" thing... (although it is true)

Good to hear you are ok!

Fire that DIT! This is basic. I would neither trust my backups to somebody with such an attitude…

My Red is called Vertov after a Russian avantgarde filmmaker, a pioneer in modern cinematography, a true revolutionary who later suffered under Stalin's bureaucracy.
