    Not sure if this is already in there and I just don't know how to access it.

    I'm hoping for a very accurate system clock time signature that marks the beginning of each exposure period for each frame in an R3D file. This clock should be much more accurate than timecode, i.e. we should have at least enough temporal resolution to be able to correlate a frame to a particular audio sample at 48khz.

    Why is this important? Well with the advent of Epic and a much larger selection of frame rates as well as all kinds of mixtures of still and video shooting, it would be nice to have some good methods of correlating sound to video even when the camera runs off speed.
    For example if a shot includes several speed ramps combined with sync speed in the same clip, having a clock time for each frame would simplify the complex task of syncing portions of the clip. That's actually a fairly typical problem for an action film editor. I can also think of quite a few of special effects situations where having a clock time would simplify things in post.

    Yet another suggestion.
