All this looks very promising. To which extent you think it will be possible to follow the focus on something like a flying bird?

i think that will strongly depend on your finger on the focus tracking on the touch screen....

Here's to hoping we can get "focus tracks", where you mark off a specific spot (like a subject's necklace) and the camera will keep focus on that object as long as it is visible. Just like motion tracking works in many post tools.

    That would be incredible...

But how much can one wish for?

Something like this will come, eventually, but this fall already?

The R-1 forced me to learn to shoot manually. And I think I'm better for it. It looks like an easy transition to touchscreen focus now though, and I think it will make it easier for new users of the Scarlet and Epic to get the focus right. Problem is, once you get used to it, how will you ever be satisfied with using anything else?

Of all things to compare this to is the ad for the Ford Focus. Their tag line is "This is a pretty big deal."
One camera is a shoot... two or more is a production.
