I'm editing a short film (offline) with Final Cut Pro 7 on an Intel iMac (Snow Leopard). I'm editing with ProRess proxies (422), created in FCP with Log & Transfer.
Everything's been going quite right, but I've run in to a problem with transcoding 3 shots from the last couple of reels to ProRes files.
When the ProRes files have been created, at a certain point they become completely green. Also during the transcoding of 2 of these files, FCP crashed and I got a message saying it was caused by the QT Red plugin. I've tried 3 times to transcode these files, and they became green at exactly the same timecode as before.
It's 3 shots in total, from 3 different reels, and they're all the first shot of each individual reel. (Every other shot from these reels are transcoded without a problem).
Also, when I opened Log & Transfer after I discovered it first, one time all the shots of one of those reels turned green (in the browser of Log & Tranfer). I quit FCP and restarted FCP and the clips where normal again in Log & Transfer. (This was the reel containing one of the shots that's been causing trouble).
When you watch the original r3d file in Log & Transfer, it sometimes is normal and sometimes it also becomes green (at a certain point, or completely).
I tried to transcode one of the 3 shots in Red Rushes, but it also gave an error and didn't even render. It went to 100% in a second and 'error' appeared in the progress field.
I've read somewhere that corrupt frames can be the cause of this. I hope that the shots can be used somehow.
Some one familiar with this kind of problem?
