damn, scarlet footage!?
Jarred has been creating a thread for an hour now! What does that mean?
I don't think it would be any different. The entire sensor is read in 5ms - whether it be S35 or 2/3". So, the final skew will be 5ms worth from the top to the bottom. Jarred has given us the final read/reset time.
In fact, if you think about it, it is easier for a smaller sensor to achieve lesser skew assuming the read time for a single line is constant. Let's think about in a crude manner - A 5K sensor has to read 5000 lines from top to bottom. A 2K sensor has to read 2000 lines. It is quite obvious which of these sensors is likely to read/reset faster. Translating to the real world, there are likely to be several other factors and other bottlenecks. 5ms is the final value, a very respectable read/reset time and is pretty much ideal, really.
hey yeah sorry guys.. the NY trip with Epic caught me by surprise and havn't been able to put a shoot together yet.. let me think of how i can pull this off without my wife killing me :)
Dude, keep the wife happy. We're all crazy excited to see the footage, but a couple days isn't gonna make any difference.
