Does anyone think it’s odd that Robert Rodriguez has not expressed an interest in Red or at least I’ve never heard it if he has. He was a big advocator for digital filmmaking and hasn’t shot film since 2001.

He has history with Sony...I think that was a reason why he didn't make much of RED initially. But much like Fincher...he'll come around.

    I’m assuming that’s not a joke? I’m glad he’s taken an interest.

I dont think he ever used a Thomson Viper, RR is a Sony man. I think he ignored Red due to all Sony has done for him. Why wouldn't he use MX Red? It makes no sense. I'd look forward to what he could do with Epic, if he does actually get one.

I don't think it's odd at all, maybe he just likes the form factor and the work flow on the Genesis, thats what he's been using since he shot Grindhouse.

at the end....i really dont care what the dude uses, whatever fits best to him,
it doesnt make my cam better or worse, or make me feel better or worse...if he shoots his movie on the iphone, it will not change the way i shoot.
