It's more like QuadHD, but that's still good in my eyes :)

    "4K (3840 x 2160) Native High Resolution LCD
    10-bit 1.07 billion colors
    1500:1 contrast ratio
    4 x 3G/HD/SD-SDI inputs
    4 x 3G/HD/SD-SDI outputs
    4 x HDMI input
    4 x DVI-D input
Audio Disembedder & Audio phone jack output
Supports TVLogic Color Calibration Utility for proper color alignment"

Quad HD makes sense for broadcasting the signal. http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=43000

True, but who's going to be finishing to 5K? I think of Red 5K as True 4K.

I'd also like to know how much this thing will cost. Probably more than I'm willing to pay just now...

It is like asking for 1280x2220 resolution for HD TV (1080x1920) HD-TV signal monitoring.
Why would you like 5K monitor (5K horizontal color pixel count) to monitor and grade 4K cine format?
