Guess editiorial codecs like prores or DNxHD have to be licenced.

Yeah the competition will have to design a modular system to keep up. Without the innovative vision comparable to RED & price competitiveness their products won't be that appealing no matter how much "reliability" street creds they've amassed. Keep knocking em down RED.... I love it.
