I think this is particularly relevant with Stage 2, where Red wouldn't receive a camera they feel is no longer viable. I was under the impression that this was the major issue at the time.

Sanjin would keep his R1 and benefit from the same situation we all benefiting from for believing in Red in the early days.

They are definitely shipping Epics in the order of R1 ship date, NOT serial number.

Don't know what that means for Epic serial numbers. I assume they start from 5 or so again.

Last time the serial numbers became a bit sketchy because some reservation holders didn't take delivery and I think they retired the serial numbers (though not sure of this.)

I'm one of those people too. I know my chances of quick Epic delivery will be way better with Stage 2. Wanting to do stage 3 with #5923 seems like an eternity.

I should probably look around the forum a bit more, but does anyone know if there is a post/section where people with early REDs are NOT going to do stage 2 or 3? It would be cool to find them and see if they want to work out deals with others.

I´m actually thinking about it. I´m not sure I will be able to do stage 2. My Red is number 2733, delivered august 2008. I think I´m also happy to just keep it and only do the MX upgrade. I would not be unhappy to get offers for such a deal. Maybe somebody who have to wait for stage 4 could be interested.

When I placed my deposit for the R1 so many NAB's ago I got good natured ribbing, mostly, about what a scam it was and how the $1000 was gone etc. etc.

Now that I'm laying down the deposit for EPIC you can hear a pin drop in that same peanut gallery.
