i dont think this has been brought up yet

but red epics are not out this was all done at RED studios and the credits list Jarred and Jim Jannard as producers and camera operators

it also says the very short film was shot R1 m-x and epic-x

but not how much epic or how much m-x .. its still very exciting and i think there can be no question epics are working after what jarred posted

also the on the Ipad you have to click play and the Motos will play as quicktime

with flash it loads and it auto goes .. i like the flash way better
but html5 which you can use on youtube now looks better in the long run

    my 2 cents

    Good point.

I wish I knew how long the delay between the MX upgrade and EPIC was going to be but I guess no one can say. It's exciting and reassuring to see an EPIC has been in action since JANUARY!!

Maybe Greg, was the cover and the other shot just cropped from the original format, or did you use the camera in a different configuration. Just curious. I have always had a long standing argument with my film and video camera friends as to the real need of larger sensors and the unlimited use of formats. They all like to think in the box if you know what I mean. Good to see the use of movement in a different format than we are use to seeing. Looks great. Congrats.

For the LA Times cover, as with nearly all my other Red covers, we tilted the camera on it's side to get the maximum use of sensor on the page.

Does anyone know of any projects that I might be able to take a look at that have use different format use of RED. Not just typical horizontal. Or using parts of the screen with multi images or parts of the image being used. Add's included. I have a project coming up that needs this use.
