EPIC is alive and shooting incredible images... actually, the best we have ever seen.

More resolution, more dynamic range, better color than anything we have ever done. We wish you all could see what we are seeing.

The body is incredibly small for what it is capable of. My hats off to the engineers.

Just trying to understand clearly. Is it using the mx chip? But you're getting more res/range/color then the current mx chip? But it isn't the monstro chip, right? So there's something about the Epic brain that you're able to squeeze more out of the chip?

The RED One has some limitations put on the M-X. Resolution on the EPIC will be 5K and beyond...whereas the RED One can only go to that 4.5K.

Also, having a bit more time to work with the boards and using all new hardware that has been completed over 2 years after the first RED Ones began shipping would also probably have a little something to do with the imagery pushing the limits even further. :)

Jim, we all expected more resolution and more dynamic range, but how is the color better? That's a great surprise!
