    So...when's the game coming out?

Hehe all kidding aside, looks brilliant, the character design is priceless, best of luck getting the short made, but I would say that you might want to immediately think of going feature-length. With all the work put into it, you might as well look around for an 8-10 mil budget, the trailer alone could snag you that without question and as long as you keep 'working smarter' (as you clearly have been) it will be more than enough. You have a high-concept hook in a familiar setting and the chops to back it up.

Unless you're European, there's very little incentive for an investor to put money into a short unless it leads to them getting a piece of a feature down the line (or unless they're angels).

Then you can make a game based on it too! :D I would play the HELL outta that!

Thanks for the input. We are going forward with the short. Everything is in place to shoot it at the end of next month. A whole bunch of furious work is going on right now. We have a few options open for funding, and are willing to self-fund if needed. Interest in this project has been crazy, and talks are underway for both gaming and comic book rights.

I personally would love a great diesel-punk side-scroller on my iPhone.

Easter has turned out to be a very happy day for me.

I just found out that Project Arbiter is currently on the front page of joblo.com under the title of 'cool videos from around the web."

    http://www.joblo.com/index.php?id=31560

As a frequent visiter to joblo.com, I'm ecstatic to see it featured on that site.

Add to that, the disclosure that Epic cameras are being used in the field, and seem to be working beyond expectations, and I am one happy camper today.

I only wish Epic would be out in time to use on Project Arbiter.
(Or even my camera's M-X upgrade!)

Only 27 days remain until principal photography begins! I can't wait!

I hope that the final quality, and entertainment value of the short live up to the great press and nice words that we've gotten so far.

I promise to work my hardest to make that happen!

    Hey all,
I just wanted to drop a quick update on this film. We managed to scrape together funding and shoot the short. 10 days of filming and it's all in the can.

Thank you to all that supported our efforts, either financially, or simply with encouraging and kind words.

I'm really happy with the camera department's work on this. I think that we may actually have something with legs here.

Special thanks to Scott Miller for doing an excellent job on B-cam for us. Stuff looks great, Scott!

I just watched the second rough cut today, and it's coming along nicely. We still have a ton of work to do yet, but more stuff should be available for viewing soon.

I welcome you to follow along with our progress, by checking out the Blog section of the website. There, you can find info from the director, Michael Chance and see some 'behind-the-scenes' images from the set.

And with that update, I'm back to editing the corporate, talking heads that pay my mortgage!

Michaelk, can't wait to show you more! I wish it was done now.

Scott, No prob. Second unit grabbed some great cut-aways that are well used in the rough cut.

A new interview with the director was released online today:
