Which filenames are you editing? You shouldn't be changing the name of the MXF files once created.

So In order for the avid to be able to correctly relink the ALE to the MXFs these have to be in the Mediafiles folder ? I also had problems with this and I ended up manually copying the MXFs to the Mediafiles location and doing things "manually".

They need to be in the Avid Mediafiles/MXF/1

or 2 or 3 depending on how many files are in the original /1 directory. And yes, they need to be in this folder to be recognized by the Media Composer. Copy the files when MC is not running.

I also asked this in the Metafuze 2.1 thread but i'm asking here again because i haven't received any answer. How can I change Gamma and color space options from metafuze ? I read the help files but I don't understand.

You cannot. MF converts from RedSpace to Rec709.
You may add RLX files in another application to create a look.

umm...RLX files are outputed by Red Alert ? I'm using a PC and I never heard of these type of files.

Yes. You can apply those RLX settings (created elsewhere) in MetaFuze.

To anyone who is having problems linking files from an ALE or just needs help in viewing them in Avid here's a link I started on the Avid forums. Guys very helpful

I managed to solve the relink problem myself (explained in my last post) in the end but it's worth reading for the info.

    cheers
