...with valuable information. Why?

Bottom line is that Jim does not want us posting about "other cameras" here anymore. He made that crystal clear last night. Since this is his house, we should respect that.
Some of us may have missed that post, the only thing I know is that apparently there was some kind of attack.
I guess I can live with the thread going down since it was pretty much the VDSLR section and not the other cameras section but I dispute the idea that it is crystal clear why it happened.
Jim himself made it clear! There was no "attack." Jim made an impassioned post saying that he didn't want this stuff posted here anymore, then the whole forum was moved offline. That should be the end of it. He's told us before that he really didn't want vDSLR posts here. But I guess he'd finally had enough.
Let's move on. If you want to discuss those cameras, there are plenty of places to do it online.
I fail to understand why anyone would be surprised or find anything objectionable with that section of the forum going down. If so please be objective and tell me your reasoning.
I personally visit here to learn about Red Digital Cinema.

heheh.... no more jokes at Michael Bravin's expense....
What is the chance that he is going to get himself a RED camera and post here about it?![]()
Yeah, makes sense to me, you don't ask for pizza in a sushi bar...
Jarred hosts a great one: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/forumdisplay.php?f=174
You'll find piles of info for all prosumer cameras there.
