Hey guys. Is there any way yet to get the benefits of the new FLUT system of Redcine-X and still edit in Final Cut? All I can think of is grading all of your raw footage in RC-X and then rendering out everything to ProRes HQ before editing. Am I missing something or am I just jumping the gun?

    Thanks,

I would consider REDCINE-X a fantastic one-light tool. The new Color SCience is not yet implemented in FCP.

No doubt people will be looking for workarounds.

Having just played around with the new RC-X (FLUT is amazing, BTW) I'm definitely thinking it's my new favorite toy.

That said, for me (And I'm guessing most other Colorists) it's not going to be much beyond a one-light tool. If something like Crimson comes around for RedCine-X, that'll be awesome. Or if they put FLUT into the SDK, we can use it in Clipfinder. Or maybe, ya know, we'll get it in the Color Plugin. :) I'd forgive them never getting around to the new color science if we got FLUT native in Color.
