[QUOTE=Joseph Hutson;539933]Thanks to Peter Majtan...
That's a awesone post Joseph!
Am I the only one having trouble with those clips I posted? Seems to me they are faulty. ?
The FLUT ROCKS!!! Thank you, Thank you Thank you!
No more wasted dynamic range!!
Been a while since I really sat down with Red-Cine X. It's really coming along.
I like the general control that FLUT seems to give though I'm not entirely sure I understand what's happening under the hood.
I understand that the FLUT helps set the mid tone values in an image but there stills seems to be some effect on the highlights.
What is the exact effect FLUT has on the gamma?
What range of exposure does it primarily influence?
Also how would it be best to use the FLUT in conjuction with tools like the Lift, Gamma, Gain tool?
So far I try setting controls in order from top to bottom in the IMAGE palette and then making other adjustments (Lift, Gain etc..) from there.
Would this be a proper way of working?
I do like these advancements and REDcolor and REDgamma seem to create a much more pleasing starting point for footage.
BTW.... "SAVE CURRENT LOOK TO CAMERA" ?!
Please explain?? I'm a little hesitant to run undocumented features on my RED right now. I'm intrigued though.
Thanks for the Tangent Panel input, working like a charm!
does "save current look to camera" do what i think it will do? :)
