I hope the Red Ray designers have considered that the HDMI port is the way many users will be watching the output from this box in the forseeable future. Yes, I'm sure 4K TVs are awesome but many of us aren't prepared to ditch those expensive 1080p plasmas and projectors yet.
The specs say "HDMI Preview Output with Audio" but I hope the HDMI port delivers a decent 1080p downsampling and 7.1 uncompressed digital audio.
Why are the digital audio outs DB-25's? Optical ports like TOSlink would fit in with more systems. (maybe theaters use these and the Red Ray consumer will be more home-theatre friendly.)
Can't believe the T stops on those mini primes T1.5 from wide thru to tele.
ouch i cant help but feel that was aimed at me :)
