  1. #851 1 idea for a more complete scarlet or epic..... :)
As we see that, scarlet cam is very complete. In my mind, i thinked why not the software (edit cut) directly in the camera. we have already rushes on HardDisk, the cam is able to play it, why not an os with tools able to edit what we will shoot. I mean as a Personal Computer in the camera, plugged to display. Keyboard and mouse with or wireless.

what do you think about that?

    Do u imagine?

Maybe in the future, isn't it RED TEAM?

Wow. Fought through this 86 Pages. Wrote a Recap on my Site, now I need some Info.

I want to build a Stereo-Rig With two Fixed Scarlets. Which means two Scarlet Fixed Kits. I'l Monitor on "one Eye" only, this way the Director (if it's not me) can see what I'm doint on the other Screen.

What would I need besides the two fixed Sets and some DF Cards to get this thing running?

And than one other Question. This Shouldermount Thing here: http://code-blocx.de/digitalredvolut...4/_ssc0224.jpg Is this what's now the Gunner? If not Any infos on that one, as it looks like a cool Mount for the Stereo-Kit. With the extra stability in the back...

Oh, and by the way, good Job. I really love what you do at RED.

incredible! I like that i can have a amazing ready to shoot package for 5000$. And it will not undo a epic in therms of quality or professionally.

But really great is that every thing is interchangeable. It's gone revolutionize filmmaking. If you invest for the bomb evf ..knowing it will fit on scarlet and epic it's making your hard earned money double worth it. If you want more i/o puts for a shoot, you go to a rental place and rent that module. The camera is one thing but all the accessories and interchangeability is the revolution!!

I am totally amazed what you guy's from red are doing!!!

    Gotta get a job ASAP!
I really want the Scarlet but would prefer the 2/3" interchangeable.
If it turns out I can't afford the brain + good lens + accessories, do you think the Fixed Lens model will be able to get a pretty shallow DoF?

I can make the package lite enough without compromise on quality and put it on a steadicam flyer. Redremote pro to the assistant for focus pulling. It make pro shoots excesseble for the major of us.

I saw this documentary last.. about darwin..where he actually meant those abel to survive aren't necessary the strongest. but the ones who can adapt to new surcome stances!

So you believe that the data might be actually be usable out of the box without further tracking? Close to pixel perfect? Have you done tests? :O I eat a broom if that happens. Please publish SDK and test footage early so the lame software companies have their year to catch up to reality.

    Hi Jarred.

This is my second post here, but hopefuly I won't be ignored (as I'm a newby here)

Just two questions the answers to which I don't seem to find here.

    1. As far as I understand Scarlet s35 comes with PL mount. Considering the people who are looking at this brain, don't you think they are likely to use nikon or canon and never use PL. Is there a possibility to choose any mount and since electronic mount are more exmencive, just pay the difference? I am more than positive that I won't need a PL mount, so It'll just lay around covering with dust.

    2. I can't seem to fully understand what the module adapters are for. Does that mean it's impossible to stick the modules straight onto the body? Do we need the adapter for puting modules and why?

PS: Thanks for the time you spend here answering our questions. Thanks for the great equippment. I got so overexcited when I saw the renders of REDMOTE PRO I couldn't fall asleep till 4 in the morning. :) I hope to become one of your customers soon.
