Jarred, is it possible to take a REDRAY Pro and hook it up to a 4K projector at most cinemas that run Christie/Sony 2K/4K?

Can the consumer model do this as well (assuming that it foregoes a bunch of copy protection hardwired into the Pro unit)

Im now looking at the 2/3 and s35 scarlet a little more seriously.. I have no reason for epic at this point.. 2/3 with mini primes.. or a s35 scarlet is enough for feature film and below (tv and commercial)
so what is the real market for EPIC besides spfx work??

scarlet has the frame rates... and will in its current platform be better than the current RED ONE which has already proven itself for feature work..

I think we are hitting the peek in digital cinema. where else can we go?
Resolution is maxed out for real life use...

this is pretty cool... ill keep my One.. upgrade the sensor..buy a 2/3 fixed (for eng.. if it records an easy to use format) a 2/3 interchangeable (also mini primes)
and a s35 scarlet.. adios epic.

    A couple questions:

What is the zoom range of the 8X fixed lens? I want to assume something like 7-56mm, but knowing for sure would be better.

Why the jump all the way from T1.5 to T2.9 for the 50mm mini-prime? I'm figuring it has to do with keeping a consistent barrel diameter and limiting how large the aperture can be.

Are the mini-primes an internal-focus design?

I'm desperate to hear more on Scarlet S35 though, i'm feeling slightly disappointed to not know a lot more about what's in store! How long do we need to wait to know more on this front??

The pricing on Scarlet seems about right to me. I was hoping around $3,999 for the fixed, but a little higher doesn't hurt much. Features are rich.

The mods are flying over and I took my helmet right now!!!

New Scarlet specs & prices look pretty good and attractive.

When it comes Scarlet will exchange 7D on my Ultimate 2cam rig!!!

Wow, this is so awesome. When it was said that there'd be a slight price increase, I had no idea what to expect - and when the Oct 30th announcement came around, I had tentatively priced getting everything I needed for ~$10k.

To me, this is a HUGE price drop compared to what I was expecting. You guys are so awesome and generous in packing so much into the 2/3" fixed bundle. Thanks a million guys, and thank you ASIC engineers - I don't drink, but when I come visit you when you guys move to Vegas, I will definitely buy you a round (for reals). Thanks for busting your butts.

Man, I am so happy right now - it's not like I was afraid things would somehow turn out bad - but man, once again consider my expectations far far exceeded. Thanks Jarred, Jim, Deanan, et al.
