Jim, I know it's only a few days away till the 30th announcement, and that the inside of RED HQ must be busier than a pit-crew in the 24th hr of LeMans (probably even more tired w/o the lineup change), but can you confirm that there are 4 new LCDs coming from Red? Or are the 5" and 7" the referring to the Red LCDs (5.6" and 7") currently available?

Don't expect you to answer, but had to give it a shot. :)

EDIT: Please forgive if this info was already posted and I missed it.

Well, if you never have to take your eye off the eyepiece it could be a lot better than constantly looking down at the back of the camera. That's more time spent framing up. Less, intuitive because well... maybe we've just been trained to do it wrong.

Anyways sorry Jim if I'm going off in the wrong direction.

It is no different than the controls and mini LCD on the back of a RED ONE. Keep your eye on the image (EVF or LCD) if you like and change settings with your thumb or finger... either on the REDMOTE or the Handle. Menus show up on the image screen the same way.

    9" LCD is coming? Excellent.
Can't wait for the specs and pricing.

Practical solution, that's why he's the billionaire!

Reminds me of the story where americans spent hundreds of thousands on developing a "space" pen that could write in zero g, underwater, etc. The Russians used pencils.

Not to go too far off topic... but I find the story behind the "expensive space pen" myth to actually be quite interesting:
