I don't know and just speculating.

RED just have 6 lenses in its set.

    Hi,

    Joseph,

Did you see the new Sony released last week?

With a couple of the right lenses, it will do both 4K and 2K 3D via single lens.

The T420 will burn a hole in your skin, as well as in your pocket.

SRX-T105/SRX-T110, 5500/11000 Ansilumens are more suitable I guess.

"To say that RED and the new Mysterium-X Sensor is impressive is tantamount to saying that Napalm is a little itchy. The sensor’s increased resolution is an obvious bonus but the expanded latitude especially at the high end and the dynamic color range makes this camera a tremendous asset to any cinematographer’s arsenal. The Mysterium-X’s amazing ability to handle both mixed color temperatures and low light situations affords us exciting opportunities to push the boundaries of our craft."

OK Jim...then, bring it to your first hour kamikazes supporters network :) :) :)

    More seriously,

It a great idea to not wait the EPIC final, and test the new sensor righ now.

...plus, it proves the upgradability is "really" real :)

    Just can't wait..."really"...

    Cheers!

High end digital camera like an EPIC that has a sort of "LEGO" modular type of product design

it needs for each that part of the module minimum one year of intensive

testing that have to be done in every kind of production circumstances or also climate situation.

It's about technical standard that everything has to be optimized with the highest quality

and then later to be ready for a big volume production that must include the highest control.

Just think about it more before and be ready for the announcement at October 30.
