When you genlock two Red Cameras together to maintain Sync are all speeds covered?
The manual states 23.98, 24.00, 25.00 or 29.97 are supported.
It also says that "When operating at 50.00 or 59.94 Project Time Bases, set the genlock signal generator to SMPTE 296 progressive scan format, at the same frame rate as the project TIME BASE." Assuming you are using the Master cameras genlock and TC out to slave the other camera would this be sufficent for 50.00 or 59.94 Project Time Bases?
Finally if camera speeds are at higher speeds say 75 or 100 fps are we likely to see sync? I will initiate some tests soon when I get hold of another camera but if anyone has been here before feedback would be great.

I would be interested in an answer to this question as well.

For our applications I would also love to know/find out what the synch errors are likely to be before performing lengthy tests. Is the synch guaranteed to be corresponding left and right scan line to scan line?;... and if so how close to left and right corresponding photo receptors can two cameras be synched to? Even temporal errors of a fraction of a “pixel” are relevant for some of our work.

Any rough answers would be greatly appreciated, and I’m sure some one “Lurking" out there knows the answers to these questions.

    Cheers, (in advance)

    Eric,
