    Hi!

Our 1st R1 is on it's way & we were shortlisting accessories for it. We can't really afford $4000 monitors, so we sort of shortlisted the DELL 2408 WFP, but chanced upon a DELL LED Monitor

Would appreciate suggestions & guidance to pick the best :)

ps: we have also ordered an EVF & the RED Pro 7" LCD
    Thank you!

Ive seen some LED monitors and the skin tones seem unreal to me.
Thats just from what i saw.
I didnt dig to deep into it because it was just way too cartoonist.

There is a difference between white LED backlighting and RGB LED backlighting. White LED's have trouble displaying a wide gamut of colors while the RGB LED's are generally much better and more expensive.

The HP Dreamcolor is RGB LED and can sometimes be had for not too much money. I found a refurbished one online for 1200 USD.

The cold cathode ( fluorescent ) back light LCD's have a more limited color gamut and contrast range than something like the HP Dreamcolor LED back light monitors. The HP's are designed for color critical work in calibrated graphics systems, but you do have to calibrate them. They seem to be very reasonably priced for their image quality.
