I received a demo unit of TV Logic XVM-245W today, comparing to our BVM-D24 and I say wow.

    http://www.tvlogic.co.kr/eng/products/pro_main.html

The viewing angle has no problem, the dark area reproduction is as good as D24 (our D24 is calibrated by Imagica, the best film lab in Japan).

I'm really surprised. I actually got to see another brand Class 1 LCD monitor today and noticed the viewing angle being terrible, the dark range performance being poor, but it cost more than twice as much.

I've never seen Cinetal before, so can't compare to that, but this seem to be the price break through.

I'm sure it's a great monitor.... however it would have been nice if they had made a 2K monitor which would have allowed us to grade 2K material at 1:1.

    Hi Joe,

FWIW the Sony he's comparing it to costs about twice as much.

I saw it in action a few months ago, thought it was great, and then heard the price.

Now the TV Logic sounds like a good value... god help me.

At NAB the Cine-Tal's blew me away. Saw them in action at the Pogle booth.

I'm pretty sure they are 22k and up though.

So for 15k.. could be a good deal.

Also check out the Flanders Scientific Grade 1 24" monitors.

Several post houses I know have bought these and LOVED them for CC and critical work.

    Good price too.

    Cineimage 23" starts at $15k

Was my choice at NAB though its a stupid place to judge really.

But with the removable panel and their knowledge I'd pip them to first.
