jamie,
i sent you a PM....
here it is so far
it works
it's not pretty but it works
this thread makes my RED pants go crazy...
that is really sweet. simple and clean...
wow. that was a fast GUI. nice one.
keep on truckin', you're going somewhere.....
Metafuze v1.3 does do batch processing. What it does not do is take a pull list (or EDL) and create a new set of media. Right now that is done in DS as part of the conform process.
Michael
MichaelP-cool I didn't know 1.3 was out.
the whole beginning of this was i want metafuze on my mac (and my boss said the DS was too busy to upgrade it to 10.whatever so we'd have to do the show on the symphony)
let me be clear though, if metafuze works on a mac and does the pull list thing i will drop all this nonsense and go back to making girls look pretty on screen!!

please no one shout at me i was only messing about-here is an icon for the app
and i only chose the word because it was the only one i could make with the letters.
a v o i d
apart from davio which i think is already taken or o diva which is nice...
news on the 24 (is that really 23.976?) situation it turns out my bit (aditc) is kind of ok as it only reports back the first frame of the file then quits into the night so i think that'll be ok and it doesn't seem like i put in any reference to the frame rate of the QT in that application....so that was clever of me:)
the problem comes from writeavidmxf which because it was BBC sponsored code writing really only does 25fps by default and 29.97 if you poke it hard but not 23.976 at all.
so i've emailed stuart the writeavidmxf guy who's helped me before and we'll see how it goes.
i may have to "sponsor" him to get it in there but it'll be worth it if he doesn't ask too much! he's very cool so it may be a few days before i hear back from him. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

nice logo :) and metafuze does not work on a mac unless you are running windows under a virtualized parallels or VMWare fusion.
this sounds like it is set be the 'metafuze for mac' app.
good stuff.
i do like metafuze as a strict up-front 'get my files ready for editing in AVID' app.....and not having the conform on the back end is okay, as that is not it's purpose....
