    Hi,

I thought their would be a thread dedicated to reviews of the new Red Pro Lenses, where are they?

If any one saw them on the big screen at the REDParty yesterday, let us know? What is your impressions? Some of us have to work and don't get to play like all you REDusers at the party...Ha Ha...!!!

Sounds like a blast...I wish I was there!!!

I was about to start this very same thread. Yes indeed, impressions, reviews, comments, photos, anything?

Same question here... I was wondering why nobody posted anything about this so far ? Haven't they been shown last night ?

If we have 5 days left to get into the line to order them, it would be nice to see / hear a bit more about them...

How about some actual pics of the lenses, and some pictures shot with these lenses ?

    Thanks ! :)

Yes, it sure would be nice to see someone's appraisal of these lenses...even some kind of objective review!

I can tell you that Otto Nemenz came by early and scrutinized the set carefully... then ordered. He said these were the only lenses he was ordering (after seeing all at NAB).

The response at the lens booth was incredible. Jaw-dropping. I'm a bit surprised that there haven't been more posts on this. Maybe they want to get there order in before spilling the beans? :-)

Jim, when will we be able to order the lenses individually?

The RPP lenses were there in full force.
There was one on a camera and they were showing several of them on a test projector.
    They looked very nice.

Matthew... sure you can post your opinion of the RPPs. It is only the private session that shouldn't be discussed.

Phil... nice to see you last night. I see you put your order in before you posted. :-)

I will simply say this, people who I know that work with Master Primes on a rather consistant basis, and who have seen them on a projector, were shocked at how close the RPPs came to their quality.

We're talking about lenses that cost over $20k a piece folks. The the people I spoke with do not work for RED, and they do not own REDs.

    They were impressed.

This is one of those times where Jim actually understated the quality of the lenses to us.

    And that's something!
