  1. #1 Still Looking 4 REDs
I am still looking to Buy Several RED One Cameras

A client has decided to purchase cameras and asked me to serve as their agent. We are in the market for at least 3 lightly used RED One bodies with PL mount and basic accessories. Since the cameras are no longer on back order, a reasonable offer, (based on a percentage of you originally paid), will be made somewhere below list price depending on condition and accessories. These are serious buyers who are ready to make a purchase, so please contact me if you are looking for swift no-hassle sale. Please contact me for more details.

I don't check the Private Messages too often, so please e-mail me at:

Why would anyone sell a body for less than $17500?

The difference between faith and insanity is that faith is the ability to hold firmly to a conclusion that is incompatible with the evidence, whereas insanity is the ability to hold firmly to a conclusion that is incompatible with the evidence

Peter that's a great photo of you and I agree with you. The camera is such a bargain and the service is free...

I believe you will find the cameras you are looking for at "below-new" cost especially in the current economic climate. Best of luck in your endeavor.

Not every red owner wants to upgrade and fewer people who buy a used red want to upgrade. A friend just sold a body for $11,300. Most his offers were for around $10k, one was above (sale price) and a few below.

For some reason red owners think they can get $17,500 in cash back for thier camera's at anytime. Do you walk into the Red office and say I'd like $17.5k in cash, here is my camera? Thanks for selling it to me and refunding my money in cash?

Don't understand it, you have to spend $20k more to get your $17.5k credit... I own a car dealership, anyone here want to buy a car? I'd have no problem working the same trade in deal with you. I'd be happy too :)

A R1 body was sold for 10K...wow, who? It seems the market for used R1 are limited and it seems that person really wanted to sell his so low.

Love to buy one at that price! I know there are over 5k R1's out there..but it seems there are few and between to find a seller at that price...but I could be wrong?

    Please let me know...!!!

$11,300 was the sale price, I said most his offers were around $10k. I don't know what number camera it was but I'll try to find out. I thought it was a fair deal. I saw a couple bodies sell a few months back for $12,500.

I'd buy an extra RED body for $12,500. Anyone that has one for sale at that price, please PM me.

However, I have a feeling this is a myth. Any guesses on how many PM's I'll get? :)

Chip might be right, but I've been watching Ebay very carefully, and there is exactly zero evidence of REDs actually selling on Ebay for anywhere close to the low numbers he's tossing around. If what he heard was true, these were simply distressed sales that have no relevance whatsoever to the market as a whole. Indeed, with the introduction of Epic-X, I suspect that low-numbered REDs are now selling for a rather significant premium. Higher numbered REDs (say, those about 1500) in good condition would surely be very attractive at no less than $15,000. It makes no sense. Anyone wanting to buy an Epic could simply buy a RED One and make the difference between $17,500 and the price they paid. That, my friends, is what they call a money machine.

You're right, Shooter. . . you aren't going to be getting ANY PMs for that offer.
