 I am selling one of my full Red Camera shooting Kits here in the Euro Zone to make funds available to better outfit my other RED Cam package.The following is an advance email I will be sending out to my production contacts here in Sweden and throughout europe.
Located here in Stockholm Sweden it can be delivered anywhere in Europe within a few hours travel time. The package is full working kit with lens, tripod, mattebox, batteries, charger, multiple red drives, extra parts etc. and comes with Camera serial number 1182. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT A LOW SERIAL NUMBER DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY MOVE SOMEONE HIGHER UP THE PRIORITY LIST FOR AN UPGRADE TO EPIC. THE ORIGINAL DELIVERY DATE TAKES PRECEDENCE PER OFFICIAL RED POLICY. FOR EXAMPLE THIS CAMERA WAS PURCHASED FROM RED ON APRIL 1 2008 AND IS THEREFORE HIGHER UP THE LIST THAN A LOWER SERIAL NUMBER CAMERA THAT WAS ACTUALLY DELIVERED BY RED AFTER THAT DATE.

If you are considering purchasing a RED camera package for future use it might make sense to buy this package rather than a new package from RED for the following reasons:

1 NO VAT OR IMPORT DUTIES: Depending on the country and how the camera and accessories are valued you will probably save between 17 and 25%
(somewhere between $6000 and up to $9000 US or 4500 to 6500 EURO)

2 FUTURE UPGRADE TO THE NEWER EPIC CAMERA: Due to the recent policy change by the RED CAMERA company the lower serial number of 1182 can be transferred to any future buyer which qualifies them to an earlier upgrade to the new EPIC camera scheduled to be released in 2009. There are now around 5000 REDS that have been sold so you would be able to upgrade with the first 20% of earlier buyers (perhaps even earlier, contact me and I will explain) Here is the quote by Jim Jannard (owner of RED CAMERA INC.) :

3 NO BACKORDER ISSUES OR DELAYS Although there is no back order delays for the basic RED camera body, on a weekly basis some of the needed accessories, (EVF's, Cables etc..) may be not available immediately if someone needed a full shooting package ready right out of the box.

4 WARRANTY ISSUES Yes, I know, a year long warranty on the Camera is a valuable thing but the Camera is stlll under full warranty until March 2009 and can be re-certified with a new 90 day warranty by RED at their new UK location for a $500 evaluation and separate re-certification fee ( I did this recently for a another camera I bought on the used market) It has been my experience that RED offers incredible support for any obvious defects regardless of the warranty period and this camera has had no issues and has only 172 verifiable hours on it (see screen shot on photos to be supplied)

5 SHIPPING AND DELIVERY Shipment within the EU is of course cheaper than from the US and, in fact, for about the same price I may be able to "deliver" the camera via an inexpensive Euro Domestic Flight depending on your location close to Stockholm. If you have a shoot coming up that you want to use the camera on perhaps you may be interested in hiring me as a DP or Camera TECH/DIT in which case I can just leave the camera with you after the shoot.

The Camera Package includes the following as detailed and priced in the attached html file, and except for the older Tripod and O'conner Fluid Head included in the package, all prices are quoted as what you would pay for the same purchase from RED if they are presently available :
(The tripod fluid head is an older style very very rugged head that has been refurbished by Transylvania Films in Burbank California and is a great match for the RED as it can handle up to 50 lbs. Yes I know it is not a 2060 or 1030 model but even if you decide to upgrade later to another NEW tripod system this makes for a great back-up or B-cam head that would work great as a rental or permanent mount on a jib, crane or car mount. )
In answer to any future Questions, I am selling the camera package as a full shooting package and am not really interested in breaking it up and selling any items separately.
