another nice project, shot with two reds, is now in the last days of CGI rendering.
i wrote, produced and directed the commercial for a huge familypark in germany and shot CGI shots with my red "travis". the other DoP was manuel wenger. he shot the main parts of the coaster-greenscreen shots, we didn´t use a motion control system, just a simple dolly, we repeated the movements as equal as possible for every person, and it worked very well! the postproduction house tracked the stuff perfectly.
manuel also shot original footage on iceland, this was combined to magic landscapes with mattepaintings and CGI and blue/greenscreen shots.
whole coaster sequences are CGI, and we shot the persons in a greenscreen studio in the black forest.
no question, the keys of the reds were amazing.
here are some pics, so the commercial is in hot postproduction, the CPU´s are running faster as they can, so i hope i can present the commercial end of january in its final version.
complete CGI is produced at ACHT postproduction, frankfurt germany.
final format of the commercial is 720p.
