Jim any idea of the flash sync speed. You would really break some balls if it was 1/1000th.
    Great stuff!

Instead of answering detailed questions tonight, I thought I would just render and post... with your permission. :-)

By the way, on that last render, there seemed to be two REDmotes? Will we be able to use two at the same time?

    Jim,

I'm blown away by the enormity of what Red is doing. Great work!

    EDIT:
Forget my question...we're just enjoying posts now!

    Thanks!

I don't think the motion people have grasped how utterly ridiculous that concept is.

    Hi Neo,

Actually, photographers have no trouble grasping the concept, it just that in practice, it is usually impossible to do both in one take.

Think about it: if the stills and motion you are working on can be shot at the same shutter speed (e.g. 1/48th second, a typical "motion" shutter duration), you'll be okay, otherwise, you may have a problem, too much motion blur for the stills, or not enough motion for the video.

While "typically" you would want different settings for motion and still, I can think of many instances when one "stream" would work for both.

Doesn't really matter, we have a switch between the two and a separate menu for each.

I wonder if the resolution of the stills is 300dpi or 72dpi.
