Please help me with my gltich:
    -I am shooting 4k 2:1, 23.98 fps...
-I make either 1920x1080 OR 2048x1024 QT movies in RedAlert....
-I import them into FCP, and they come in at 24fps instead of 23.98.

How do I change the frame rate of the source movie back to 23.98?
Am I missing something in RA? FCP? I'm stuck.... Please help!

    Thanks in advance...
    Skitch.

Check the quicktimes in quicktime player with show properties and show info.

but is there any way to convert their frame rate from 24 to 23.98 in a Red App?
If so, which one, and how?

As of now, none of the red apps have a framerate conversion, you would need to import the QT movie into AE to convert 23.98 to 24fps.

If you just want to slow the footage down (make it into a slightly longer clip at 23.98 fps), use the conform function in the Cinema tools applicaion. It will just conform the original quicktime into a 23.98 fps quicktime by editing the QT metadata. The audio speed and pitch will change of course...
