Here it is a short and dirty test footage shot on RED1 with Leica Noctilux-M 50 mm f/0.95 ASPH and also just with a little help from IMS for RED.
As I asked before: "Why all lenses are not like Noctilux 50 mm, fast and sharp in all apertures especially at wide open?" :)
I know it costs a lot, almost a half of the price from Zeiss Master Prime 50 mm (Cine PL lens)
that is about 16.000 EURO compared with Noctilux that is about 8.000 EURO.
Noctilux is much lighter than Master Prime lens and is also one light stop faster(!!!).
Optically and mechanically the lens is almost perfect. I'm just saying that because it was a demo version that I shot with for this test.
All was shot hand-held and at wide open f/0.95. Focus pulling is done on the lens ring with fingers.
Almost no breathing or it's reduced on a minimum just like you would have with the best modern cine lens.
Again Leica Noctilux-M 50 mm f/0.95 ASPH is an extraordinary lens for any available light shooting on a budget.
All shots processed in RA, ASA 400, Color space: RED Space, Output LUT/gamma: RED Space,
no any CC applied except for the prolog/entry shot with projector that is done in Shake using Baselight/Filmlight plug-in Truelight
Profile: Kodak Vision Premier, Display: rec709, Colour Space: Log.
More about pros and cons another time.
Anyway it's a demo lens.
Requires IMS for RED base and IMS Leica-M mount.
