I'll shoot some people soon and post here.

The performance at 2k is great. I shoot in 4k ana mode and crop to 2.35:1 in a 2k comp in REDCINE after doing a 2:1 desqueeze. I beleive the final resolution comes out to 2048x 875. The flares in the field are from the 35mm which is my favorite of the three lenses. Thanks for looking and I'll post more grabs in the next few days.

I just don't get everyone love of anamorphic lenses. You get pretty flares, but more ofter than not you are trying to avoid flares. I love 2.40 aspect ratio, but anamorphic glass does nothing for me.

Anamorphics aren't everyone's first choice, and in many cases i would prefer spherical as well for many reasons. And I know some don't like the way RED treats anamorphics cause of the 16x9 sensor and all, but I actually really like it which is why I chose to piece together my own set.

The images below are the full scope of anamorphic on RED which is unusable before being cropped in to 2.35:1 in its Uber-Scope as Brook likes to call it. I personally think its awesome and will find a way to use this aspect ratio sometime, somewhere, somehow. More to come soon.

    Thanks Erik!

I purchased the Lomo's through two different private sellers. One from Russia and another from LA. The 50mm & 75mm both needed backfocus adjustments, lubing and gears. The 35mm just needed a gear.

Beautiful stuff, Mike. Thanks for posting the images. BTW: What was your monitoring strategy while shooting? I'm curious as to whether you used an onboard monitor with a de-squeeze capability (such as the Carrion or the Nebtek NEB70HDS monitor). P.S. Please check your PM. Thanks.
